Terms of service
These are the basic rules for using this ReadOrbit server. “We” means the person or organization operating this server.
Using ReadOrbit
By using this service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. You must be legally able to agree to these terms where you live.
Your account
You can browse without an account. Features such as saving books, tracking progress, and posting reviews require Google sign-in. Keep access to your Google account secure and give us accurate information. You are responsible for activity through your ReadOrbit account.
Your content
You keep ownership of reviews and other content you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, copy, and moderate that content only as needed to run and improve ReadOrbit. Reviews are public and appear with your display name.
Only post content you have the right to share. You may edit or delete a review, and you may delete your account from Settings.
Be respectful
Do not use ReadOrbit to break the law, violate someone’s rights, harass people, post harmful or deceptive material, interfere with the service, bypass security or access limits, or use automated requests that place an unreasonable load on the server. We may hide or remove content and suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect readers or the service.
Book information and links
Some book metadata comes from Open Library, and the service may link to other websites. We do not control third-party content and cannot promise that book information is complete or error-free.
Availability and warranties
ReadOrbit is provided “as is” and “as available.” We may change, pause, or stop any part of the service. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from errors.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of ReadOrbit. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and questions
We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. We will change the effective date above when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. For questions, contact the person or organization that provided this ReadOrbit server.
